NORTH OF ENGLAND TRANSPORT SUMMIT

7TH DECEMBER 2016

MIDLAND HOTEL,
MANCHESTER

OVERVIEW

The Northern Powerhouse will usher in a new era for the North of England, with infrastructure investment a crucial element in boosting productivity and economic output.

Ambitious proposals include the east-west High Speed 3 rail ink and improvements to trans-Pennine road links. Questions for debate include:-

  • How far should devolution of powers over bus services and rail franchises go?
  • What will be the role of the Transport for the North?
  • How will London-style smart ticketing be introduced throughout the region?
  • Will central government devolve sufficient funding?

Our one day Summit on 7 December 2016 will bring together the key politicians and practitioners to discuss and debate the future transport strategy for the north of England.
